The feedback on asking our parents (and grandparents) their thoughts about relevant questions has been unilaterally positive.  We give our parents (and grandparents) a “voice” and our precious readers are “listening.”

The school year is winding down and the summer is gearing up.  What are your thoughts?  How do you feel?

I’m happy that my kids can enjoy the outdoors without a school schedule.  I’m thrilled that homework is over for the school year.

My wife and I are nervous about the time between no school and camp beginning.  There’s no structure.  But we love to see our kids excited about going to camp – and that our oldest son will be in Israel this summer with Sdei Chemed.

We love the summer.  It’s fun time.  The kids thrive.

I look forward to the summer.  I spend more time with my kids, reconnecting as a family, and we as a family are more on the same schedule.  My kids get a mental health break that is very much needed.  I look forward to seeing happy, healthy, well-balanced “outdoorsy” children who are outside classrooms and away from “screens.”

Summer means less routine.  3 of my 4 kids will be away in camp.  I’m not sure I will know what to do with myself but I look forward to learning.

Honestly, I’m about to have another baby.  I’m excited for my kids.  I am looking forward to adjusting.

Relieved.  I love the easygoing-ness of the summer.  It’s freedom to just live.  It’s the best time for kids to grow outside an academic forum and all their other skill sets just shine forth!
